Charcoal and Pastel Drawings
In the evenings, I am drawn outdoors, searching for the perfect cast shadow of trees along the streets of my native San Francisco. With large 4 x 6-foot sheets of rag paper spread across sidewalks, streets, and buildings, I trace these shadows in charcoal and chalk pastel, translating their fleeting forms into tangible impressions of the city’s interplay of light and nature.
